Mini Superdrug & Boots haul

Today, I had to pop into town to buy some presents for my Nan's upcoming birthday. Now, I don't know about you guys, but I find it impossible to have even a fleeting visit into town without finding myself looking at make-up. So, of course, in the midst of birthday shopping for my nan, I found myself in both Boots AND Superdrug, poring over all sorts of things I probably don't need but definitely do want. HOWEVER, I think I did quite well in limiting my spending today and bought a few necessities (as well as things that aren't necessary to my growing collection at all..)

1. Vicks Sinex Decongestant Nasal Spray
This is definitely a necessity. I suffer quite badly with my sinuses, and often wake up with horrible headaches, especially during these summer months when the pollen count is high. There are quite a few cheaper versions of this nasal spray, but I find Vicks products to be excellent, so I think it's worth paying a bit extra if you know you'll get results.

2. Carmex Cherry Lip Balm
Oh, how I love this lip balm. This was on offer today so I had to pick up a tube! It has such a lovely smell and taste and it makes my lips really soft and smooth. It also has SPF15, which again is perfect for these warmer months when you need a little extra protection from the sun.

3. I Love... Strawberries & Milkshake Shower Smoothie
This is from Superdrug's own range, I love... And I do love! The range has all different flavours and also does bubble baths, body butters and lip balms! I have this shower smoothie in coconut and cream and they both smell delicious! Definitely recommend, at £2.05, you can't really go wrong!

4. Superdrug Mud Therapy Sensitive Deep Cleansing Mask
Spur of the moment purchase. I always find face mask sachets all over the place when I'm sorting through my bits and bobs, but thought I'd pick up a tube because it was only a couple of pounds and it will last longer than the sachets so bargain! It's specifically for sensitive skin too, which is great!

5. Sleek Pout Polish in 'Bare Minimum'
This is a sheer, tinted lip balm - the most beautiful nude, peachy toned colour in the pot and a delicious smell to boot! The colour is very sheer, it really isn't very noticeable on my lips but it is very moisturising and the smell is a big bonus!

6. MeMeMe Shimmer Stack in 'Gold'
I have been eyeing up the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks forever, but being a mere student with an average paid job, I just can't justify spending £32 on a bronzer. The MeMeMe's look like pretty good dupes, and although I can't make a comparison they're pretty darn beautiful and gives a lovely glow to my pale skin. I picked this up for £9.99! Win, win, win!

7. Collection 2000 Longer Lash Mascara
Collection 2000 isn't usually a brand I'd go to for a mascara but at £2.99, I couldn't really turn it down, could I?! Will hopefully test and review this soon.

8. Miss Sporty Mini Me Eyeliner in 'Snow'
I usually only wear black/dark eyeliners but I wanted to pick this up on the rare days that I want a more demure, open-eyed look.

9. Real Techniques Stippling Brush
These brushes are so hyped! I just had to pick one up. This was £11.99, so very reasonable in my opinion! I would love to own a full set of MAC brushes but I just can't afford it all in one go.. I'll get there! In the meantime, I use ELF, Sigma, Boots NO7, The Body Shop and now Real Techniques brushes. I'm looking forward to using this brush!

10. Models Own Nail Polish in 'Indian Ocean'
This was a no-brainer for me. Such a stunning colour and a very affordable £5. I have so many of Models Own varnishes now, they're all so beautiful! Will definitely be wearing and reviewing this within the next week!

11. Nivea Lip Care 'A Kiss of Milk and Honey'
This. Is. Lush. I love all Nivea lip products but this is by far my favourite. Always leaves my lips silky smooth and soft and smells so good!

12. Impulse Body Spray in 'Temptation'
I always keep a bottle of spray in my bag and this particular scent reminds me of being on holiday when I was younger, so fond memories for me :)

So these were the few bits and pieces I picked up today! And of course, I picked up some goodies for my Nan including a Boots no7 Day Cream and a rather pricey Estee Lauder Serum. Feeling a bit nauseas at the thought of looking at my bank account, come to think of it...

Hope you've enjoyed reading!
